Beth Lavine

Onsite Owner / Teddy’s Ladder

As the owner of Teddy’s Ladder, Beth’s singular goal is providing the highest quality preschool education in a secure, nurturing and stimulating environment. A Syracuse University graduate, Beth is a licensed foster parent with Houston Child Protective Services and has twelve years of child care experience under her belt. She is also a certified childcare provider through the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.

Beth’s own children are the inspiration for owning and operating Teddy’s Ladder. She’s passionate about her daughters’ educational experience, and her desire is to

create that same love of learning for your child at Teddy’s Ladder where the environment is educational, fun and safe. Beth is passionate with all aspects of childhood growth, and she aims to balance your child’s educational experience in a well-rounded approach which includes social, emotional, physical and intellectual development.

Beth is proud of the fact that Teddy’s Ladder’s pre-kindergarten teachers are degreed, and that they excel in teaching with most of our four and five years olds already reading by the time they graduate from our school.

Schantazia Schannon

Director

Schantazia Schannon is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Schannon has more than five years of childcare management experience and brings a wealth of knowledge to Teddy’s Ladder. Schannon says, “I have a passion for teaching young children, and I feel that Teddy’s Ladder holds the key to every child’s education pathway.

Ashley Davis

Ashley Davis

Assistant Director

Ashley Davis, Teddy’s Ladder’s Assistant Director, works closely with teachers, students and parents making sure that academic goals are achieved and quality of care is maintained throughout the school. Ashley’s attention to detail is an asset to Teddy’s Ladder. Ashley says “Whether it’s helping a child learn to write, or helping them with an art project, I love to watch their faces light up with excitement as they learn something new.” Ashley is also a mom who enjoys reading, scrapbooking and baking.

Susan Wilton

Susan Wilton

Office Manager

Office manager Susan Wilton brings more than thirty-five years of management experience to Teddy’s Ladder. Mrs. Wilton comes to us from Infiniti where she handled HR and payroll for 7,500 employees. We look forward to utilizing her management expertise at our school. Mrs. Wilton and her husband recently moved to Texas to be closer with her family in Sienna Plantation.

Danielle Lloyd

Academic/Communications Coordinator

Danielle Lloyd (Ms.Dani) coordinates each child’s learning strategies with students, staff and parents ensuring that each student learns at their own pace while helping them attain their academic goals of reading, writing and solving math problems upon graduation from Teddy’s Ladder. Ms. Dani helps develop our lesson plans and also heads up our Gifted and Talented program for parents who want their children to place-out in accelerated classes in public or private elementary schools. She is also our communications coordinator who speaks with parents on an as-needed basis throughout the day or week.

Ms. Dani is passionate about early education and has been teaching preschool classes for six years. She is also in the process of earning her Master’s Degree in Education.

Children are eligible for enrollment at Teddy’s Ladder if they are between the ages of two months and five years, provided programming and enrollment space exists.
